- Unfortunately I don't know greek. (I am from Romania...) -- Ciprian Dorin Craciun 15:25, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
- Congratulations for your hard work. I admire you. -- ZaDiak
- Thank you, but why? -- Ciprian Dorin Craciun 14:19, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Proposal
edit- Hello Ciprian Dorin Craciun. I would like to tell you again that I am impressed from your work. All this work that you have done is sure very difficult. In 2-3 months the Greek Wikiversity will launch. I would really like from you to continue your work there and transwiki there the work that you have done here I really think that you can become a vital part of our community. Please accept my proposal. I hope that you will do it. Friendly. --ZaDiaktell 14:48, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hello ZaDiak. First of all I would like to thank you for your appreciation. I have read your proposal, and there is something unclear to me: You would like me to contribute to the Greek Wikiversity, and I would accept this but, I am not a Greek speaking person. So my question is: How can I help there? I am a native Romanian speaker and I know well English... -- Ciprian Dorin Craciun 15:54, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well, we can translate the work you have done in english to greek and then you will help. I don't have a problem doing it. Also the work in romanian you can transwiki it to our WV. I think it is the same as in English so no problem.--ZaDiaktell 15:58, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- If you want to translate my work -- I guess you are referring to the laboratory notes -- then I am more than happy to help you as I can. (Being new to Wikiversity I still don't see how could I be of some use, except creating new content in English, or by extending the existing content.) So please let me know when -- and how -- can I help you. -- Ciprian Dorin Craciun 16:23, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well I am very happy to hear this. I will start translating the next days. When the greek WV open we will transwiki your work there and you will continue your work normally there. This will propably happen in December. The only things I want from you is tell me with which pages I should start.--ZaDiaktell 16:30, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- So you would like me to move from Beta to the Greek Wikiversity? This I think is not possible, as I am writing in English and Romanian -- work mostly related to my current job at the West University of Timişoara -- thus moving these works there makes no sense... (If the Wikiversity experiment works for me and I can attract some attention, I would like to start a Romanian Wikiversity project.) What we could do instead -- if you would like -- is to keep the content from there and here in synchronization -- what I mean is that we leave the English (and Romanian) content here, but as the content evolves we could also update the one from Greek site. -- Ciprian Dorin Craciun 16:50, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Mmmmmm, well I think your proposal is good but I thought another solution why not to transfer the english to the Greek Wikiversity and leave the ROmanian here?--ZaDiaktell 16:53, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Moving one content, and the other one leaving behind (or even moving the entire content), has some drawbacks:
- First of all it would confuse my students, because even if the laboratory notes are written in English, they are intended for romanian students that study computer science in English language at my university.
- Second, all the pages I have created compose a unitary work -- that is, an online curricula for computer science students -- and I would like to keep them in one place.
- Third, I am currently speaking with some colleagues of mine to collaborate and expand / rewrite / create laboratory notes that we shall all use in common (as we are more teachers that teach Lisp, Prolog, or Web Technologies).
- So with these constraints, I can not -- for the moment -- move the content to another Wikiversity project. But I reiterate my proposal to keep the content in syncronization if you decide to translate it. (Or any other method you see fit, but that does not imply moving content.) -- Ciprian Dorin Craciun 17:10, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, no problem. I will try to keep them in syncronization. But if sth change and you decide to move the english content to another WV then let me know it. Good luck!--ZaDiaktell 17:17, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry I forgot to mention that if you transwiki sth it doesn't disappear from the place you transwikied it. For example if we transwiki the english content then it still exist here. So another solution would be if we transwikied some notes in which you will not write more. What do you think?--ZaDiaktell 17:23, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- If such content will become available I will inform you. Until then I hope we shall collaborate as we have established. -- Ciprian Dorin Craciun 17:50, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- So let me understand. For example Laboratory 1 is not finished?--ZaDiaktell 18:00, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Let's take -- more exactly -- Lisp EN -- Laboratory 1 -- 2006-2007 -- info.uvt.ro (or any other related to Lisp for that matter). This laboratory note is finished in terms that the content is stable. But it is not finished in the sense it is not used any more -- it is still used now for teaching Lisp. -- Ciprian Dorin Craciun 18:13, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- But you won't change it. Right?--ZaDiaktell 18:14, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- The short answer: No. The long answer: Maybe -- if I find errors, or I want to add new examples. -- Ciprian Dorin Craciun 18:20, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Ok sorry for torturing you. I didn't want to.--ZaDiaktell 18:22, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- :) No problem. You are not torturing me. I call it communicating. :) Something that I think escapes today's society... So, let's continue! -- Ciprian Dorin Craciun 18:29, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Well if you like communicating and you use firefox then we can communicate with IRC.--ZaDiaktell 18:52, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, this could be very useful for me (as I split my notes in a lot of small pages). Ciprian Dorin Craciun 08:11, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
deletion resquest
editIf you want to indicate to make a deletion in a page, add this template instead of add the category. With the template, you can indicate tne reason. It's more esay to make maintenance. Thanks for your works. Crochet.david 14:03, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for the tip. But for the pages already put in the category for deletion, should I apply the template to them or can you take them into consideration as they are? Ciprian Dorin Craciun 16:03, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
- No, do not annoy you to put the template. Crochet.david 16:44, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
custodian
editCiprian, As you have built up a host of courses, would you have needs for the custodian tools? Best, <Hillgentleman| ~ | 書> 15:45, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
- Well I don't know, would it be useful to me and the pages I've created? :) What are the requirements / duties? Ciprian Dorin Craciun 16:38, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
- Useful - not much. You may wish to delete things from time to time or protect your pages from damage. There is no duty, and the requirements are, by tradition, a commitment to wikiversity and a good track record. I think we all have see both. Best, <Hillgentleman| ~ | 書> 08:14, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
- Indeed deleting some of my old pages, or pages created by my by mistake, would be a nice feature. In this case, please grant me access to custodian tools. Thanks, Ciprian Dorin Craciun 08:26, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Your administrator status on the betawikiversity
editHello. A policy regarding the removal of "advanced rights" (administrator, bureaucrat, etc.) was adopted by community consensus in 2013. According to this policy, the stewards are reviewing activity on wikis with no inactivity policy.
You meet the inactivity criteria (no edits and no log actions for 2 years) on the wiki listed above. Since that wiki does not have its own rights review process, the global one applies.
If you want to keep your rights, you should inform the community of the wiki about the fact that the stewards have sent you this information about your inactivity. If the community has a discussion about it and then wants you to keep your rights, please contact the stewards at m:Stewards' noticeboard, and link to the discussion of the local community, where they express their wish to continue to maintain the rights.
If you wish to resign your rights, you can reply here or request removal of your rights on Meta.
If there is no response at all after approximately one month, stewards will proceed to remove your administrator and/or bureaucrat rights. In ambiguous cases, stewards will evaluate the responses and will refer a decision back to the local community for their comment and review. If you have any questions, please contact the stewards.
