I (darklama (Talk | Email | Contribs | SulUtil)) am an active member of English Wikiversity and a custodian there. I believe that custodianship is no big deal. I am a custodian on Beta Wikiversity already, but I believe that Beta Wikiversity's policies and processes were not followed when I was granted the tools and I am uncomfortable with that situation. I am nominating myself for two reasons 1) to follow process, and 2) to have the decision of whether I should have access to the custodian tools be one that the Beta Wikiversity community makes. --darklama 17:57, 20 March 2010 (UTC)
Support :-)
edit- I know Darklama from wiki + chat. He is experienced, and he forgot to mention he is also active on Wikibooks. I trust him. Also to bring this request up now increases the trust. Everyone can see custodian activity here. ----Erkan Yilmaz 18:01, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

- From en.wikiversity.org experience, Darklama is a highly valued and respected contributor and custodian, with excellent technical skills and sound judgement. Jtneill 13:08, 21 March 2010 (UTC)
- "I believe that Beta Wikiversity's policies and processes were not followed" <-- Maybe the process is, "He understands the technical stuff, make him custodian so the rest of us don't hurt ourselves trying to figure this out." --JWSchmidt 04:34, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
- Or what is commonly called temporary sysop becoming full sysop. What happens here is that temporary custodians who are doing fine are treated as usual custodians. <Hillgentleman| ~ | 書> 08:04, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
- OK. I just want to be sure there is community consensus for my having the tools, and this looks like the process normally used for establishing community consensus for that. I am not even sure whether I was considered a temporary or full custodian, I guess this can clarify that as well. --darklama 13:21, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
